Acts 17:10 The brethren immediately sent Paul and Silas away by night to Berea, and when they arrived, they went into the synagogue of the Jews. 11 Now these were more noble-minded than those in Thessalonica, for they received the word with great eagerness, examining the Scriptures daily to see whether these things were so. The writer of Acts Luke tells us that in Berea in the synagogue they were more noble-minded they showed this by their daily examination of the scriptures to see if these things were so. Why was it so important for them because they understood that the scriptures are from God they are God breathed
2 Peter 1:20-21 20 But know this first of all, that no prophecy of Scripture is a matter of one’s own interpretation, 21 for no prophecy was ever made by an act of human will, but men moved by the Holy Spirit spoke from God. Should we today give the same diligences to Gods Word as these brethren did from Berea.
